Visit Japan Web invites you to explore Machida. Escape the crowded confines of central Tokyo and rejuvenate in Machida, which boasts a mix of traditional and contemporary attractions. Wander through numerous parks and gardens, explore a retro shopping area, and delve into Japan’s history through museums and historical buildings.

If you love adorable animals, you should visit the Squirrel Garden, which is open every day except Tuesday. It is a perfect place for families with young children. You can buy a bag of food for only 100 yen and feed the squirrels, rabbits, guinea pigs, and turtles.

Right next to it is the Machida Yakushiike Park. This park is a wonderful spot to unwind and enjoy a picnic, and it has different kinds of flowers for each season. The park has many ancient cherry blossom trees that are beautiful in the spring. You can also see the peony garden from mid-April to May, the iris garden from May to June, the lotus pond from July to August, and the dahlia garden from July to November. Minami Machida Granberry Park is a huge outlet mall in Tokyo, with a lot of stores and eateries. The Grandberry Park area has the “Gathering Market,” and it is divided into three plazas—the Park Plaza, Oasis Plaza and Theater Plaza.

The Park-life area has the Snoopy Museum, Children’s Hall and Machi Library. The Tsuruma Park area has the Tsuruma Forest, playgrounds and sports fields. The mall has its own station, Minami-machida Grandberry Park Station. Peanuts fans will enjoy the Snoopy Museum Tokyo, which showcases the famous dog, his pals, and his creator Charles M. Schulz. There is also a shop with exclusive products, and a cafe.
