Visit Japan Web invites you to explore the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. It a historic structure utilized as a complex housing a shopping mall, banquet hall and event venues. Originally serving as customs buildings, it consists of Warehouse No.1 and No.2. Operated by Yokohama Akarenga Co. Ltd., it is situated at the Port of Yokohama in Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.

Both buildings are three stories high, 22.6 meters wide, and 17.8 meters tall. Building No. 1 covers an area of 5,575 m² with a length of 76 meters. While Building No. 2 spans 10,755 m² with a length of 149 meters.

Building No. 1 is both a cultural facility and a venue for art exhibitions, film festivals, musical competitions and plays. On the other hand, Building No. 2 accommodates a shopping mall, restaurant arcade and a balcony. It’s on the 3rd floor and offers a delightful view of the harbor. Surrounding attractions include Yokohama Chinatown, Minato Mirai 21, and Yamashita Park.

The area around Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse hosts a popular annual German-style Christmas market from November 25th to December 25th. It features a strong German architectural inspiration. Additionally, from December to February, Yokohama Red Brick is home to Yokohama Art Rink. It’s an outdoor ice skating rink that also serves as an art exhibition showcasing local artists.

On December 10th, 2018, the broadcast of the Final Stage of SASUKE 36’s special live from the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse on TBS on New Year’s Eve was announced. The 2019 edition of SASUKE’s Final Stage will once again be broadcast live from the warehouse on December 31st, 2019, making it the 2nd consecutive SASUKE tournament to have a live Final Stage.
